May Book Club

The 5th grade girls always have a lively meeting when we get together!  This month's meeting was no exception as we talked about When You Reach Me, which is an interesting book in that it doesn't fit exactly into one genre of literature.  Most of our book club members really liked the book, although there was some confusion regarding certain events in the story.  For our next (and last!) book club meeting, we will be reading The One and Only Ivan.  This is a fiction story based on the true account of Ivan, a gorilla who lived much of his life in a cage at a shopping center.  I am sure that, once again, the girls will be animated in their opinions!  We will meet Monday, May 18th during lunchtime.  Happy Reading!
