First Book Club Of The Year!

Welcome back from what I hope was a wonderful summer that involved lots of reading!  For those of you new to the book club, we will meet about once a month to discuss the book of your choosing.  At the end of each book club, we will vote on our next read.  I will provide a dessert that ties into the theme of the book.  For our first meeting, I have gone ahead and chosen the first book that we will discuss.  However, after the first meeting, the books that we read will be your choice.  SO, for our first pick, we will be reading Once Upon a Marigold by Jean Ferris.  We have enjoyed some of her other fabulous books in the past.  Our first meeting will take place on Monday, September 26th during lunch in the media center.  We have a few copies of the book in the LS media center but we also encourage you to check it out at your local public library.  Therefore, by September 26th please come to book club having finished the book and don't forget to bring your lunch.  I will provide a dessert that ties into the theme of the book.  Happy Reading....Mrs. Brown & Mrs. Sauter
